Farleys has moved its personal insolvency department from the firm's Manchester Road offices in Burnley, to its Parsonage Gardens office in the heart of Manchester city centre.

Recently the personal insolvency team has won a contract to provide insolvency advice to Greater Manchester Police, advising its officers on effective debt management.

Over the past six months the team has also seen an increase in the demand for its services, throughout the region, due to the economic uncertainty that is sweeping across the UK.

Partner Jonathan Bridge and assistant solicitor Mark Skinner will be permanently based in Manchester alongside newly recruited, trainee solicitor, Nabeala Fiaz. Assistant solicitor, Danielle Mestraud, will split her time between the firm's Blackburn, Manchester and Burnley offices.

Jonathan Bridge, head of Farleys's personal insolvency department, said: "The move is part of Farleys strategic plan to expand the personal insolvency department across the region, and as demand is increasing in the city centre it makes perfect business sense.

The new contract win, with Greater Manchester Police force, is testament to the hard work of the personal insolvency team and reinforces my belief that Farleys is a key player in the debt management market.

The move, whilst enabling us to be more accessible to our Manchester clients, will in no way affect the service available to clients outside of the city."
